POSITION OVERVIEW

The People Success Consultant will serve as a strategic advisor to schools, offering expertise in solving their people-related problems and implementing effective HR solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, a passion for working in the education sector, and a proactive problem-solving mindset. This person must thrive and prosper in a fast-paced environment and be able to navigate and deliver amidst changing priorities and ambiguous circumstances while providing exceptional service to Vertex clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Strategic HR Consulting: Serve as a trusted advisor to school leadership, offering strategic insights and recommendations on HR initiatives and decision-making, ultimately contributing to the achievement of organizational goals and objectives.
  • Optimized HR Processes: Implement streamlined HR processes and procedures tailored to the unique needs of educational institutions, resulting in increased efficiency and effectiveness in managing people-related tasks.
  • Improved Talent Management: Develop and implement talent management strategies that attract, retain, and develop top talent within schools, leading to a more engaged and high-performing workforce.
  • Enhanced Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support to school administrators in resolving employee relations issues and fostering positive workplace relationships, resulting in a more harmonious and productive work environment.
  • Compliance Assurance: Conduct regular assessments to ensure schools' HR practices comply with relevant wage and hour laws, employee safety regulations, and industry standards, mitigating legal risks and protecting the organization from potential liabilities.
  • HR Department Liaison: Be the liaison between the client and the respective HR functions to provide business solutions.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education, Certifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred including strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • 5 years of progressive HR experience, strong background in employee relations.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification preferred. If not certified, must obtain it within 6 months.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Google docs.
  • Strong knowledge in Federal and multi-state employment laws and regulations.
