Overview:
Home For Me Homecare is seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team! As a Caregiver, you will provide essential support and assistance to elderly individuals in need of care. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors. Applicants MUST have a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle plus proof of insurance and clean driving record, can pass a criminal background check, have access to an up-to-date Smartphone and an active email. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals in their homes or care facilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with medication reminders as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and restrictions
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Assist with mobility and transfer of individuals as needed
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behavior
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in patient care or caregiving is strongly preferred
- Previous experience in hospice care is a plus
- Be reliable and dependable to arrive to your shift
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and assist patients with transfers as required (must be able to lift 50lb )
- Adult CPR/First aid certification is required
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is beneficial
- Proof of negative tuberculosis test is required
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others
