ProCare LTC Pharmacy is seeking a Full Time IV Technician for our Worthington, OH location. Should be Nationally Certified with some IV experience.

In this position you will coordinate with the assistance of the pharmacist in the preparation of sterile admixtures. You also must be able to make/compound IV.

Job Functions:

Perform sanitation and maintenance of the cleanroom area and infusion equipment according to 797 UDP Standards

Compounds sterile admixtures and non-admixtures, including but not limited to parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, hydration, using aseptic technique

Prepares labels, prescription, compounding/mixing worksheets and completes and maintains product lot numbers and expiration dates. Generates delivery/pick slips under the supervision of the pharmacist. Picks and prepares supplies

Takes inventory, places orders, check in medications and supplies, stocks IV shelves and removes out-of-date items from inventory

Records and maintains refrigerator temperature logs

Uses good documentation practices

Assists Pharmacists and calls facilities for IV order questions

Responsible for cleaning and maintain IV pumps and the IV pump information
