What will you do in this roll:

-Refill prescriptions for patients as instructed by the Physician

-Obtain Prior Authorization on Prescription Medications and Pre-cert Diagnostic Imaging

-Ensure Labs, Referral, Notes, Diagnostic Imaging are attached to a patient’s chart in a timely manner

-Under the direction of the Physician communicate abnormal Lab and Imaging results to the patients (Cholesterol, Blood Sugars, Etc.)

-Triage and process portal and phone messages from patients to Physician, verify emergency request, refills or other patient needs

-Complete FMLA, Disability and Patient Assistance Forms

-Schedule Referrals, Diagnostic Imaging and Procedures as directed by Physician.

-Assist with back-office tasks as needed such as: take Patient History, Vital Signs, In office Procedure/ Injections, Lab Testing and Phlebotomy

-Answer Telephone calls to the Practice

-Assist Front Desk Personnel as needed with Patient Check In/Out and scheduling Referrals, Procedures and Diagnostic Imaging

Must have a Medical Assistant Certification from an Accredited School

12 months Direct Clinical Care Experience in a Healthcare Setting.

Proficient in EMR/EHR programs, Word and Outlook
