 The Deposit Operations Director is responsible for overseeing the Deposit Quality Control department that is the central location for all new account files including account revisions for secondary verification review, maintains the new accounts platform system, includes supporting the branch staff with related policies and procedures along with problem resolution. The Deposit Operations Director is also responsible for overseeing the Deposit Operations Specialist Team which includes the bank’s Bookkeeping, ODP, Research and adjustments areas of responsibility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

1. Work with department managers to supervise the work of employees to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors, or problems. 

2. Ensure employees are provided with guidance in handling complex problems and in resolving escalated complaints or disputes.

3. Maintain a working environment that is satisfying and allows employees to participate in the department decision making and to continue to grow in their careers. 

4. Conducts meeting with department leaders and ensures team meetings are maintained for ongoing communication and coaching.

5. Review and assist with updating and training department procedures regarding us of technology. 

6. Implement corporate and departmental policies, procedures, and service standards in conjunction with management. 

7. Work with department leaders to evaluate employees' job performance and conformance to regulations and recommend appropriate personnel action. 

8. Maintain Progress on all outstanding projects and provide management updates relevant to the job roles/responsibilities. 

9. Reviews invoices and contracts for supported system applications.

10. Serve as a member of committees requiring Operations representation as needed and take an active role in offering and implementing the ideas/decisions approved in these meetings.

11. Responsible to ensure all audit requests are completed and for corrective action that results from exceptions noted in internal/external audits.

12. Perform as a team member in any bank acquisitions, conversions, new branch setups and branch closures.

13. Responsible for maintaining the New Accounts Manuals.

14. Responsible to ensure announcements of changes effecting branch staff or management are communicated timely. 

15. Administrator for specialized deposit products which includes CDARS, ICS, and National CD Rateline.

16. Maintain, modify, and update platform systems used in the areas of operations such as BPM, DocFox, Velocity ILS, and any processes used with Fiserv for the areas of operations managed. 

17. Maintain the TMS system of templates and access for the bank. 

18. Ensure legal process documents are handled timely and within compliance (subpoenas, summons, garnishments, and any levies or freezes etc…).

19. Ensure the department’s reports for are completed as needed for management review and any required for Board reporting.

20. Work with the IT and Shared Services areas for any changes or reporting needed. 

21. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

· 2-3 yrs. experience and/or training in Texas New Account Documentation.

· Good interpersonal skills.

· Good verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong leadership skills. 

· Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.

· Ability to travel to branches and locations of operational staff. 

· Ability to work independently and as a team member.

· Ability to communicate with people at all levels.

· Must be flexible, and willing to work within change.
