For the right candidate, the goal is to have this person take on a supervisory role, leading other team members on the warehouse team and to be responsible for the overall organization and execution of the order fulfillment cycle.

Since VIKAND is team-focused, this role will workfrom our home office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

POSITION

The Warehouse Specialist responsibilities include supporting supply chain procedures, from receiving, picking, packing and coordinating deliveries to managing shipping documentation. Ultimately, this role will ensure our customers receive the correct orders on time, as well as accurate up-to-date information for both internal and external clients. While there is some manual labor involved as the orders/shipments move through the process, there is also the important administrative work that you will be responsible for as well.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Shipping and receiving of all products. This will include pharmaceuticals, disposable medical supplies and medical/durable equipment.

· Receiving and stocking of products.

· Plan shipments based on variables such as product availability, customer requested delivery date, transit time, etc.

· Tracking orders and follow up to ensure timely deliveries. This is to include sending pre-alerts and proof of delivery to all necessary personnel

· Create, send, and track required FDA documents to directly support biomedical repair process on inbound equipment needing repaired. Provide copies of documents to logistics department for processing with port agents/logistic counterparts with clients

· Maintain LGA updates in RCCL LGA portal to support the biomedical repair process on inbound equipment needing repaired. Provide copies of documents to port agents/logistic counterparts as necessary for processing to ensure an efficient shipping process.

· Update the ERP system with latest data, as necessary.

· Preparing shipping documents (Bills of lading, FDA documents, commercial invoices and packing slips and address labels.)

· Perform shipping tasks in shipping and receiving packages both domestically and internationally

· Maintain shipping log for shipped and received items

· Communicate with the Biomed team the pertinent information regarding shipping/delivery status of items on work orders, including tracking information, costs and dates. This will include managing the TMS software, our asset management system, with the correct and up-to-date data such as tracking number, shipping updates and other comments as necessary

· Work directly with biomedical team to facilitate movement of items when required. This includes shipments to vendors, manufacturers, customers, technicians (hotels such as calibration gas), and spare equipment from spare equipment shelves

· Liase with accounting, procurement and client services teams with proper flow of paperwork and communication on such things as missing items, etc.

· Perform other tasks as needed.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Experience within the maritime industry is strongly desired, but not required. 1-2-years experience in working with cruise lines, port agents, and country customs and duty agents for shipping and landing packages is preferred
• Problem solver-think outside the box.
• Must be a self-starter. Have motivation and drive.
• Work experience as a Logistics Coordinator, Warehouse Administrator or similar role
• Knowledge of international shipping and customs processes, LGA, incoterms and HTS codes and FDA documentation is required
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
• Knowledge of pharmaceuticals and shipping requirements for product is a strongly preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency & experience working with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, OneDrive, Teams and other various platforms. Knowledge of Dynamics Business Central ERP is a plus
• Ability to pivot and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
