About the Position

The Assistant Teacher will support the Lead Teacher in meeting the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs of a group of young children.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct curriculum activities for a balanced instruction program, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' needs and interests.
• Greet arriving children to the school environment by greeting them, helping them remove outerwear, and selecting activities of interest to them.
• Attend to children's basic needs as age-appropriate, such as feeding them, dressing them, and changing their diapers.
• Teach proper eating habits and personal hygiene.
• Communicate effectively with parents, children and coworkers.

Required Education and Experience

• Meet HHS minimum education and experience requirements
