USMD is Hiring a RN House Supervisor Full Time 7a - 7p $15k Retention Bonus Near Arlington, TX

Job Purpose: The House Supervisor is responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients. Assess patients and plan care for shift needs in all departments with assistance from nursing staff and department managers. Supervision of all nursing personnel in the performance of consistently high-quality patient care.
Minimum Requirements:
Education & Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Required Licenses/Certifications: Current RN Licensure, either Texas or Compact is required. BLS and ACLS certification is required and must be completed upon hire. PALS (PACU and ER only) certification is required and must be completed upon hire. ENPC and TNCC are preferred for ER.
Work Experience: Minimum of three years professional nursing experience.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Staff shift and plan staffing for next shift according to nursing care and standards, justify in writing to the Chief Nursing Officer deviation from these calculations.
Assist with patient care in all areas, as required. Assume responsibility for ER when ER personnel are absent.
Serve as administrative resource person to staff.
Communicate pertinent information to on-coming house supervisor/nurse manager and Chief Nursing Officer. Read and document in Supervisor's Communication Book to assure passage of accurate and current information to all supervisors.
Assist nurse managers and Chief Nursing Officer with employee evaluations through input and anecdotal note documentation of both
Evaluate quality of nursing care in all areas, making patient rounds as able.
Oversee admissions, transfers and discharges during shift.
Supervise staff in maintaining adequate drug records; initiate action to correct errors in the narcotic count.
Administer safety policies and procedures as necessary.
Assure quality of patient care through rounds.
Call in ancillary personnel and departments as necessary.
Assure infection control policies are observed.
Oversee crash cart checks and documentation.
Assist staff with written care plans and medical record documentation
Support administrative and nurse manager's decisions and policies. Adhere to USMD Policies and Procedures. Follow proper chain of command
Performs other duties as assigned
