Job Opportunity: Engineering Training Technologist (1-Year Contract)

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity that includes per diem mobilization, paid trips home, and overtime. This one-year contract position operates on a 9/80 schedule, allowing for every other Friday off.

Position Summary:

This role supports the engineering implementation of Quality Learning Management programs and processes at a large-scale waste treatment project. The Engineering Training Technologist is tasked with the development and maintenance of engineering learning programs. Utilizing the ADDIE model, this position will analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate both new and existing training needs. Responsibilities include maintaining instructor-led training materials in PowerPoint and online courses developed in Articulate Storyline, assessing new training requests, determining suitable learning solutions, and creating necessary training modules.

Additional duties involve the administration of the Project’s Learning Management System (LMS), including updating course and curriculum content, managing learner profiles, recording completions for instructor-led classes, conducting routine audits of LMS entries, and resolving user and course issues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Science, IT) from an accredited university, or, in lieu of a degree, nine years of relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills (both oral and written).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience in the full ADDIE course development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated experience with Articulate Storyline.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check, which includes employment and education verification.
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for site access.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of prioritizing work and managing multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors LMS administration.
  • Previous experience with DOORS.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with DOE, commercial nuclear projects, or similar.
  • Familiarity with industry and regulatory standards pertinent to nuclear facility design, construction, and procurement (DOE Order 414.1, NQA-1, 10 CFR 830).

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $65.00 per hour
