KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure daily work schedules are completed in a timely and efficient manner, which includes running a variety of different black and white and color digital presses on a range of different substrates.
• Responsible for the daily and weekly maintenance required to keep the presses in good operating condition, as well as have the ability to diagnose printing and quality issues.
• Willingness and ability to learn how to run digital printing equipment both 1-C and 4-C and keep production moving in a deadline-orientated work environment.
• Performs weekly cleaning and minor preventative.
• Communicates with Production and Sales staff to offer suggestions on workflow improvements.
• Responsible for ordering inventory of printing supplies as needed for production.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experienced in running/maintaining commercial digital printer equipment (previous Xerox machine experience preferred)
• Must have experience operating folders, cutters, stitchers and other bindery equipment
• Working knowledge of production equipment, mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read, understand, follow job tickets and follow safety standards
• Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends if needed
• Strong verbal and written communication in English
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to maintain and develop internal relationships among different departments
• Experience maintaining digital print equipment
• Must be available for weekends when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
