Southern Foodservice Management, Inc., a national contract food service provider , is looking to hire a Prep Cook to work part-time at our corporate dining facility at Thermo Fisher Scientific located in Florence, SC 29506 .
The schedule is Monday - Friday , no nights or weekends and the shift is 9:00am - 2:00pm . The pay rate is $14.00 per hour.
You should be committed to providing the best possible dining experience for all our guests. In this position you will assist with preparing, cooking, and serving lunch.
You should have superior knowledge of understanding of kitchen equipment including but not limited to fryers, ovens, grills, meat slicer, steamers and dish washing machines.
You must maintain proper sanitation, be able to follow recipes, have a professional appearance, dependable transportation, teachable attitude, and a strong work ethic.
Qualifications
2 years' experience as a deli cook or grill cook in the restaurant industry.
2 years' experience in a customer service role.
Basic knowledge of food safety and cooking.
Be able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere.
Must pass a drug screen and background check.
Must be energetic and enthusiastic.
Responsibilities
Preparing sandwiches, salads and slicing deli meat.
Vegetable cutting and preparation.
Rotation of product to ensure freshness.
Communicate with the manager for ordering deli items, etc.
Knowledge of HACCP and Food Code, Sanitation and Safety Procedures.
