Job Purpose: Responsible for the oversite and support of dining service associates, CNA’, and Resident Assistants. Responsible for guest satisfaction in Bryant Ridge and Gorham Glen. Assist with meal service which may include greeting guest, serving, preparing beverages and meals in the serving areas. Guest satisfaction oversite of staff and serving of meals in assisted living dining areas here at Attic Angel Community.
Essential Job Duties (in order of priority):

- May prepare and serve meals in designated serving areas dining rooms in Bryant Ridge and Gorham Glen according to menus, tray tickets, guest request.
- Monitor and assure food temperatures and documentation according to Attic Angel policies.
- Assist with greeting, seating, and assisting with service during meal times.
- Oversite of dining room appearance and assisting with setting and resetting of tables in dining rooms. Responsible for table top organization and cleanliness.
- Assist with taking guest orders and provides outstanding customer service to all residents, guest, and family members on campus.
- Responsible for oversite of entering orders from the always available menu into the Full Count POS system tablet, and presenting check to the guest for payment.
- Responsible for assisting with cleaning, sanitizing of tables in dining areas. Assist with dishwashing duties including pots and pans and other equipment in accordance with Attic Angel policies.
- Responsible for assisting with the setting, bussing, sanitizing, and resetting of tables in assigned dining areas making sure all areas are ready for the next meal time.
- Complies with proper dress code and practices hand hygiene according to policy.
- Responsible for the oversite of filling and delivering of supplies to designated serving areas in Gorham Glen, Segoe Heights, and Haven making sure the quantity is maintained and organized.
- Responsible for some preparation of quality meals, assuring the appearance and temperatures of all menu items is of the highest quality.
- Responsible for the service of meals, according to menus and modified diets; will monitor food delivery to satellite units and dining rooms during meal service for quality of service and menu accuracy.
- Responsible for making sure all guest are satisfied with their meals and service and if there are any unsatisfied guest make sure to follow up and communicating with staff to correct concerns.
- Responsible for making sure all meals are accurate according to diet preferences, presentation and correct meals are served according to the tray tickets and guest request.
- Responsible for providing leadership that fosters a team approach in meeting the mission of Attic Angel Place.
- Responsible for training of new and existing staff relating to portioning, food presentation, meal service, and sanitation.
- Responsible for proper storage, labeling and dating of all product according to State and County regulations following the posted food storage charts.
- Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing of work areas to provide safe sanitary work surfaces and equipment.
- Responsible for maintaining and the tracking of temperature standards for equipment, food production meals according to State and County regulations.
- Responsible for reporting concerns with Dining Services equipment up keep, maintenance and repair to insure a smooth and safe operation.
- Responsible for participating in staff development and in-services for continued development within the Attic Angel dining team.
Education/Experience
High school education or equivalency preferred.
Previous dining service experience preferred, but on job training is provided.
Food safety certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong oral, written and electronic communication skills.
Demonstrates excellent customer service strategies.
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work load.
Ability to carry out job responsibilities in an accurate, flexible and conscientious manner within a fast paced kitchen environment.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, guest, and staff.
Ability to work within established policies and procedures.
Ability to work in a partnership environment which fosters effective teamwork in meeting the mission of Attic Angel Community.
Ability to provide excellent customer service to residents, families, guest, and staff.
Must be willing to accept weekend/holiday work schedule and occasional overtime.
