Job Summary/Purpose Plan and facilitate the school-age programming and services for the elementary site.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Education degree desired but not required.

Knowledge / Skills

* Knowledge of developmental characteristics of children pre-kindergarten through 8th grade

* Knowledge of appropriate and effective discipline techniques and practices for children of

* these ages.

* Resources for initiating activities for children.

* Excellent organizational, planning, and management skills.

* Oral and written communication skills.

* Observation skills.

* Professionalism.

* Ability to be flexible, nurturing, and caring.

* Must have the ability to problem solve and use sound judgment.

* Ability to establish and maintain relationships with adults and children.

Experience: Experience with children ages pre-kindergarten through 8th grade very helpful. Continually meet the standards set forth by the National Afterschool Association Accreditation.

Duties/Responsibilities

* Plan, develop, and facilitate the services and activities provided in the Vacation Station Program. Provide an environment and program activities that are safe, fun, and educational for children.

* Plan and facilitate fun and educational activities for children during their out of school time in the Vacation Station program.

Examples of Work Performed:

* Plan for and develop age-appropriate activities that offer a variety of choices within

the program.

Hours: Varies AS NEEDED

Salary:> 60 college hours $16.38 per hour

< 60 college hours $15.17 per hour
