Prairie Lakes Youth Programs (PLYP) in Willmar, MN provides corrections, detention, secure, and non-secure alternative programs for boys and girls ages 10-19. Our mission is to teach and enable responsible thinking by using the Truthought Corrective Thinking™ model, a therapy dog program, and through implementing these strategies with youth in our facility. PLYP staff have been committed to helping young people learn a better way to live since 1991.
Currently hiring a Program Liaison
Job Summary:
The Program Liaison is responsible for providing support to the Program Directors at the main campus programs
Responsibilities and Duties:
Conduct ongoing well-being room checks
Respond to crisis situations to assist with de-escalation and physical restraints
Assist with supervision of youth in individual sessions, therapy, court, substance use disorder treatment, and visits
Assist with on-site and off-site medical appointment supervision and transportation
Assist with supplies, materials, and youth inventory
Assist with new client admissions by entering data into data system and following up when more information has been provided. This may also include gathering the necessary admission paperwork at the time of the admission meeting
Manage discharge paperwork of clients. This includes preparing the necessary documents for discharge and releasing the client from the data system
Prepare confidential letters as directed
Gather and enter statistical data as directed
Assist with organization and filing of compliance documentation into licensing binders and other assigned locations
Proofread documents, make necessary corrections or provide recommendations as needed, and scan documents into the data system
Provide assistance and support for referrals as directed
Answer telephones, direct calls, take messages, screen visitors at door
Maintain the computer and paper filing systems, create, add, and delete files as needed and manage the disposal of old documents as needed
Prepare letters, envelopes, copies, faxes as needed or directed
Run errands as needed or as directed
Maintain organization and up to date information in all office areas
Submit tickets and report technical problems for all technology needs
Report program concerns and recommendations to the Program Directors and participate in team discussion for resolution of concerns and possible implementation of recommendations
Conduct self in a courteous, tactful, and professional manner inside and outside the facility when representing PLYP
Ensure youth confidentiality, discussing cases only with individuals to whom the programs have consent
Attend meetings, workshops, and training sessions pertinent to the mission of the specific operation of the program
All employees are mandated reporters of abuse and neglect. Reports of abuse and neglect should be handled according to the Prairie Lakes Youth Programs Policy on reporting abuse and neglect
Assist with scheduling as directed by Program Directors
May be required to cover open AM shifts based on program needs when directed from Program Directors
Complete other duties as assigned

Work up to 40 hours per week, more if needed
Willingness to work other shifts on occasion as needed
Lifting, moving and carrying 25-50 lbs. using proper techniques
Ability to walk up and down stairs
Ability to kneel or squat for long periods of time
Bending, stretching, standing or sitting for long periods of time
Qualifications:
At least 21 years old
Successfully complete required background check
Annual training as required by PLYP
Valid Driver’s License and current proof of insurance
