IT Support Specialist

We are in search of an IT Assistant in our facility in High Point, NC. The position of IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing prompt and effective onsite support to end-users, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and peripherals at both our North Carolina locations. The ideal candidate will seek to be part of a team of professionals who are invested and excited about the opportunity to provide efficient and consistent services, solutions, and support for our team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Onsite Support

o Respond promptly to onsite IT support requests from end-users.

o Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.

o Install, configure, and maintain computer system peripherals.

· Technical Troubleshooting

o Conduct thorough analysis to identify the root cause of technical problems.

o Collaborate with other IT professionals to escalate and resolve complex issues.

o Provide clear and concise instructions to end-users for issue resolution.

· Hardware Maintenance

o Perform regular maintenance of computer systems, including updates and patches.

o Monitor and manage hardware inventory, ensuring availability of necessary equipment.

o Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software procurement.

· User Training and Documentation

o Provide training to end-users on the use of hardware and software applications.

o Create and maintain documentation for IT procedures and troubleshooting guides.

o Assist in developing user-friendly materials to enhance IT literacy among staff.

· Security and Compliance

o Comply with IT security policies to safeguard data and systems.

o Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

o Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.

· Collaboration and Communication

o Collaborate with the IT team to implement and support IT initiatives.

o Communicate effectively with end-users, colleagues, and management.

o Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall IT strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS / OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma Required. Higher Education preferred.

· Information Technology or Computer Science certifications preferred.

· Working knowledge of IT troubleshooting processes.

· Exceptional critical thinking and problem solving skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing.

· Proactive and solution-oriented with a passion for providing excellent IT support.

· Strong time management skills and ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

• Strong organizational, critical thinking, problem solving and time management skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to identify and establish work priorities while balancing multiple projects in an environment with rapidly changing priorities.
• Ability to multi-task and problem solve to meet operational needs.

· Ability to reliably transverse between High Point and Archdale locations.
