the position
You are an experienced technology Product Manager with the ability to successfully drive our innovative, problem-solving managed network and security services to market. You have experience interfacing with customers, internal and external partners, and industry analysts to understand and document business challenges, evaluating build/buy/partner technology options, and ideating and implementing differentiated solutions to the overcome the challenges. You provide input to internal partners to assist in identifying the ideal customer profile, craft laser-focused messaging, develop content strategies and create sales enablement tools and material. Your ability to collect and summarize competitive information and understand the enabling technologies to deliver your services are vital as it gives our sales teams critical leverage in the field and allows us to deliver a unique customer experience. You also have wicked good sales trend analysis and product profitability skills. And, as a bonus, you also have experience with channel sales.

  • Define and drive a differentiated and profitable service portfolio plan that accelerates our managed service transformation.
  • Evaluate and develop opportunities for new services, products, programs and/or line extensions and identifying new target markets and related strategies including the digital experience vision and strategy for your services.
  • Engage with customer facing teams, partners, customers, technology vendors and analysts to ensure defined customer experience is being achieved and discover un-met needs and business drivers.
  • Create clearly defined market requirements, business plans, customer and digital experience expectations, and service definitions.
  • Define rollout plans and work across the organization to ensure their success.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to incorporate value proposition and competitive differentiation into market messages.
  • Determine pricing, packaging, bundling and discounting strategies for service offerings.
  • Set key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor/optimize the performance of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
  • Build relationships with internal and external partners, technology vendors, industry analysts and customers.
  • Function as an expert in the areas of market competition and industry trends
skills you bring to the field
  • Innate inquisitive and exploratory nature to identify the art of the possible allowing you to innovate and differentiate managed services in a highly competitive technology market
  • Product/Service management experience in SD-WAN, SASE, SSE, or security managed services (preferred)
  • Product/Service management experience in networking services (MPLS, VPLS, Internet)
  • Bachelor's Degree required (preferably in a technical discipline)
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a tech business and 4 years' experience as a Product Manager for products or technologies related to telecommunications, managed network services, IT infrastructure, security, or cloud services
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
  • Proven success defining and launching innovative and differentiated services
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively to accomplish goals in a busy environment with competing priorities
  • Collaboration within and across teams and the ability to communicate with senior leadership
  • Experience defining and delivering professional services in a multiple-geography model
  • Knowledge of technology and products related to the mid-size and enterprise business markets
  • Demonstrated success managing pricing and the overall financial success of a product
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
