**Job Description**

**SUMMARY:** As a Senior Project Buyer, you will oversee development projects and customer projects from a purchasing perspective. In doing so, you will be the link between the operational handling of projects, site purchasing and Syntegon's central purchasing department.

**Essential Job Functions:**

* As a Project Buyer, you will manage the complete purchasing volume of projects at various Syntegon locations in the USA, both customer projects and development projects

* You will be responsible for the quality, costs and delivery fulfillment of the purchasing volume in the projects to be managed

* You are responsible for the integration and control of other purchasing functions (site and central purchasing) in the projects

* Your task is the creation of a project-specific purchasing strategy

* Through your participation in various project teams, you contribute to the decision-making process with your professional expertise

* Travel of approx. 30 % is a matter of course for this position

**Qualifications**

**BASIC REQUIREMENTS**:

* Must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

* Must have a minimum of 5 years of professional purchasing and project management experience in a manufacturing environment

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**

* Experience working with packaging machinery or automated manufacturing capital equipment is preferred

* A degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering is preferred

* Project purchasing experience within mechanical engineering is preferred

* Experience with functional leadership of interdisciplinary teams, as well as in purchasing controlling/cost controlling

* Experience working in an international context

* Resilience, communication and teamwork skills as well as negotiation skills

* An independent and structured way of working with good moderation skills
