Position Summary
The Manager of Procurement will have oversight of all procurement processes, requests and completions ensuring smooth and timely purchases that are fully compliant with all government laws and regulations (federal, state and county) as well as private funder requirements. They will develop supplier relations to best source products and services for SDWP in concert with the department Directors such as Client Services or IT. They will have immediate oversight of the Title I & private contract procurement projects and direct communication with state, county, private partners, and key stakeholders to ensure processes and outcomes are timely and in compliance. The Manager of Procurement will oversee the procurement and inventory control of all supportive services and, in consultation with the Director of Operations and Procurement, provide regular reporting to the appropriate leadership regarding errors, late documentation for supportive services requests and manager the Procurement mailbox. They will work closely with the Director to manage the life cycle of agreements and plan for all renewals and new procurement requirements for expiring agreements. The Manager of Procurement will work closely with Compliance and Finance departments to ensure processes and policies are accurate and complete. SDWP is a quasi-governmental and nonprofit organization focused on workforce development services in San Diego County. We serve job seekers and employers through career exploration, work readiness training, occupational training, job placement, subsidized wages, and employer engagement. SDWP serves as the designated Workforce Development Board (WDB) for both the County & the City of San Diego.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position. If you are hired at San Diego Workforce Partnership, your final base salary (within the pay range), will be determined based on factors such as education, knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members when determining any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer generous benefits and retirement plans.
