Our work environment includes:
Duties:
- Operates company vehicles transporting residents of Blakeford at Green Hills to various destinations.
- Responsible for operating vehicles in a safe manner, obeying traffic laws at all times.
- Assists residents in boarding and departing from the vehicle.
- Assists residents with carrying groceries, packages, providing assistance with wheelchairs and other medical equipment.
- Responsible for maintaining the vehicle’s appearance and scheduling mechanical services as needed.
- Performs other relevant administrative duties as assigned including delivering the daily inner office mail and resident mail.
- Interacts with co-workers, residents and all other customers in a manner which encourages harmonious working relationships, enhances the image and reputation of Blakeford at Green Hills and promotes positive customer relations.
- Supports the mission statement of Blakeford at Green Hills by dependability in attendance, punctuality, maintaining confidentiality, the timely completion of assignments, and attention to principles of professional ethics and quality service.
- Has a commitment to professional and personal growth through development of skills and knowledge, as well as improvement in the facility’s performance.
- Ensures the rights, dignity and confidentiality of all residents is maintained.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license and able to be insured on the company insurance policy.
- Experience driving manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
- Good communication skills to interact with residents and co-workers in a professional manner.
