Your Role at MediaLab
We are looking for a passionate, seasoned and entrepreneurial leader, with deep product knowledge, to take on the challenge of driving growth and profitability on a premium brand with global reach called WorldstarHipHop (WSHH). The Product Manager role at MediaLab is unique in that you run a business unit with the P&L ownership, define the overall product vision and strategy as well as execution, and drive a high-performing team to generate user value and revenue growth. The WSHH role is unique in that you're setting the vision and execution for a global HipHop & Entertainment brand that has been around for 15 years. This role reports to the Chief Product Officer and works across the organization partnering with Engineering, Legal, Trust & Safety, and Customer Success.
What You'll Do

• Take ownership and accountability of WSHH P&L
• Define overall product vision, product and monetization strategy and roadmap, including improving brand perception, quality of user base and their content, re-defining the brand identity
• Partner with the editorial team to create tools that improve their editorial performance and efficiency.
• Establish operational excellence enabling your business unit to scale while remaining lean
• Drive continuous, quantifiable KPI improvements through feature development, multivariate testing and other forms of optimizations
• Define quarter OKRs, partner with the team to set estimated delivery timelines and maintain a roadmap focused on ROI
• Partner with team members to conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses, market research and reverse engineer competitors to uncover opportunities to improve KPIs and increase EBITDA
• Proactively communicate with stakeholders
• Work closely with the Executive team and different departments to achieve corporate goals

What We're Searching For

• 5 years working with entertainment and news websites with an emphasis on increasing user engagement, time spent and retention.
• Experience optimizing websites for SEO, building editorial tools, and an understanding of programmatic advertising is a plus!
• Someone who truly loves HipHop and Music culture. WSHH is an iconic brand in the space and we're looking for someone who has a vision for the next stage of WSHH.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, ownership mentality and drive that is contagious - must want to get their hands dirty and scrappy
• Experience driving continuous KPI optimization in a consumer-facing technology property, preferably a multi platform brand
• Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g. Jira, Jira Advanced Roadmaps and Confluence)
• Outstanding organizational and analytical skills, and attention to detail
