The Facilities Assistant will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and the premises.

This role will report to the Manager of Facilities and their primary duties will include monitoring surveillance equipment, checking credentials, and enforcing security procedures for two of our facilities.

Additionally, this position will assist Manager of Facilities with the general maintenance and repairs of our facilities, including office space, warehouse, restrooms, kitchens, lighting, parking lots, etc.

The individual in this role can expect to work standard day shift hours during the week and may be asked to work overtime / weekends as needed.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities :

• Monitor Entrance And Reception Areas To Ensure The Security Of The Premises
• Control Access By Verifying Credentials Of Individuals Entering Our Buildings
• Respond To Alarms And Security Incidents In A Timely And Appropriate Manner
• Provide Assistance To Visitors And Employees As Needed
• Handle Security Surveillance Tasks To Ensure The Safety Of The Facility
• Assist With Mail Delivery And Distribution As Needed
• Participate In Monthly Companywide Safety Committee Meetings
• Assist Manager Of Facilities With The General Maintenance And Repairs Of Our Facilities, Including Office Space, Warehouse, Restrooms, Kitchens, Lighting, Parking Lots, Etc
• Assist With Moving Furniture Or Equipment As Needed
• Other Duties As Assigned.

Position Requirements :

• High School Diploma Or Equivalent; Additional Certification In Security Or Law Enforcement Is A Plus
• Strong Observation Skills And Attention To Detail
• Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Abilities
• Ability To Handle Emergency Situations Calmly And Effectively
• Familiarity With Security Equipment And Procedures
• Basic Computer Skills For Administrative Tasks
• Must Be Willing And Able To Lift / Push / Pull Up To 50 Lbs. And Be Willing To Seek Assistance For Anything Over 50 Lbs.
