Job Description
We are looking for a forward-thinking Sales Representative to join our fast-paced and highly innovative team in Houston, Texas. Your goal is to drive new software development business by building and maintaining a strong network in the Houston area and in industry verticals. You are a self-starter that thrives on making personal connections and lasting relationships.
Your day to day activities will include the following:
* Engage in events that target Poetics ideal customer profile
* Attend trade shows/conferences, networking events, Chamber of Commerce events, and other networking activities to establish relationships in the Houston area
* Track activity and progress in our CRM
* Prepare and present presentations to prospective clients
* Maintain relationships with leads and clients
* Work with the Poetic leadership and sales team to report progress and refine sales strategies
The right candidate has a proven track record and values the following qualities:
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Motivation, perseverance, and determination
* An aptitude for research and analysis
* Time management and personal organization
* Strong presentation skills
* Driven by compensation tied to results
* 1-5 Years experience in business-to-business sales either in technology/IT or in the real estate, healthcare, and/or energy verticals
* College degree required
