Concrete Form Associates need to possess skills to perform work which is basic to all aspects of concrete construction. They need to be able to erect forms for concrete; prep and placement of concrete foundations; erect concrete wall forms and help place concrete in poured walls; prep, place and finish for slabs on grade along prep, place and finish of site concrete. Some experience in all aspects of concrete is required. Any associate hired will be required to perform all aspects of concrete construction that Setterlin Building Company performs.
Each concrete associate is expected to furnish their own carpenter hand tools along with concrete finishing trowels. Setterlin Building Company supplies all power tools, concrete specialty tools and equipment. The Company discourages associates from using each other’s tools, except in emergency situations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Job Knowledge

• Handle material up to 100 pounds
• Construct, erect & repair concrete forms
• Hand excavation
• Slab prep including stone base and wire mesh
• Demolition if required using jackhammer or hand tools
• Operate skid steer
• Operate miscellaneous power tools

Productivity

• Associates level of work output makes money for the company
• Self-starter that initiates proper activity with some supervision

Quality

• Performs the work right the first time

Safety

• Follows company safety plan and OSHA regulations
• Wears personal protective equipment
• No accidents

Housekeeping

• Cleans up as needed
• Takes care of company equipment

Attendance

• Shows up to work in accordance with the attendance policy
• Attends job meetings, as required
• Willing to work overtime and weekends, when project requires

Cooperation

• Cooperates with supervisor, co-workers and others
• Maintain open lines of communication with all parties involved in the project
