Objective:

The Safety & Security Coordinator at Etain LLC is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security systems and related compliance requirements at the Chestertown manufacturing facility. The Safety & Security Coordinator is also responsible for ensuring the overall safety of the Chestertown facility and personnel. In addition, this position will ensure that all staff are trained on safety procedures and coordinating with Facilities to address any physical safety concerns on site.

Essential Functions:

• Lead the development, implementation, and training of workplace and information safety and security policies including Emergency Response Plan and Security Plan
• Ensure personnel and company compliance with workplace safety protocols and information security policies and procedures, including all OSHA regulations.
• Perform and document regular inspections to ensure compliance
• Coordinate with the Logistics team to ensure that security measures are following state and federal regulations.
• Monitor facilities for any suspicious or criminal activity and take appropriate action to protect employees and visitors by contacting the proper authorities.
• Oversee and escort facility visitors including contractors and service providers
• Manage and oversee the physical security of the manufacturing facility, including access control, video surveillance, alarm systems, and key control.
• Report irregularities or system malfunctions; maintain video records of all irregular personnel behavior.
• Conduct risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and devising appropriate safety and security measures.
• Investigate safety and security incidents to determine root cause and provide recommendations
• Develop effective training programs for onboarding as well as annual safety and security training for employees
• Provide support for worker's compensation claims including investigation, reporting, and return to work efforts
• Maintain and submit all required safety records and reports
• Review processes and equipment and make recommendations on proper engineering controls and PPE
• Stay up to date with changes to regulations and laws related to safety and security in the industry and ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.

Competencies:

• 2 years of experience in a safety or security role
• A bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety or a related field or equivalent experience
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards
• Strong organizational skills
• Effective time management skills
• Demonstrated expertise in security technologies, including proficiency in access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
• Proven leadership and personnel management skills, with a track record of effectively managing safety and security personnel while fostering a cohesive unit.
• Exceptional decision-making skills and the ability to take appropriate actions in challenging situations.
• Strong planning and administrative skills to efficiently manage security operations and documentation.
• Experience with information security standards, ensuring compliance and safeguarding sensitive information.
• Comfortable with a high level of accountability, consistently delivering results and taking ownership of security responsibilities.
• Valid driver's license.
