About Us

CCBC has experienced exponential growth over the past decade, developing and providing innovative community services across the lifespan while establishing a reputation for delivering the highest quality behavioral health care for individuals and families served. In the process, we have created an amazing team of professionals delivering evidence based, trauma-informed care in schools, homes, hospitals, the community, alongside police, and within our outpatient offices. We are a non-profit community mental health center serving 50 communities in Massachusetts and growing. CCBC provides outpatient, urgent care, care management, and mobile crisis intervention services to adults and children overcoming depression, anxiety, mood disorders, substance abuse, trauma and many other conditions hindering overall health and personal fulfillment.

Description of Role

As the Adult Services Director of our Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC), you will lead and enhance our adult services program offerings which encompass outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatments, elder services, and HIV management. You will provide clinical direction, ensure high standards of care, and oversee the comprehensive functions of our services including quality assurance, compliance, fiscal performance, and human resources.

We seek a clinical leader who adopts a hands-on, collegial, and accountable leadership style. You will manage a talented team of licensed clinicians, case managers, nurses, and other mental health professionals who deliver services directly to our clients in their homes and communities through various methods such as group and individual counseling sessions, family therapy, crisis intervention, and medication management.

In addition to your leadership responsibilities, you will also carry a small caseload of clients, allowing you to stay closely connected to the needs of those we serve.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead and manage day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, timely, and appropriate adult services within the CBHC framework.
  • Attract, recruit, and onboard clinical talent, supporting ongoing professional development and training.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one and group supervision, and performance reviews of program staff and interns to ensure high standards of care and professional growth.
  • Monitor and enhance productivity, ensuring timely and accurate clinical documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Oversee Utilization Review functions, maintaining high standards of medically necessary evidence-based client care.
  • Participate in CBHC and agency-wide leadership functions, contributing to policy development and strategic planning.
  • Regularly evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements to optimize client outcomes.
  • Foster an inclusive, ethical, and transparent workplace culture that aligns with organizational values and enhances team performance.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in human services, preferably counseling psychology or social work
  • Either LICSW or LMHC in the state of Massachusetts
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct clinical experience and at least 5 years supervisory experience
  • Ability to develop, support, coach and supervise a clinical team, including new graduates while creating an environment conducive to personal growth and effective teamwork
  • Demonstrated clinical and administrative leadership that promotes commitment, compassion, empathy, enthusiasm and inclusion
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written skills that inspire both internal and external customers
