Denison Pharmaceuticals is Hiring an Assistant Scheduler Near Lincoln, RI

The successful candidate for the position of assistant scheduler shall be fully capable of determining daily, weekly, or monthly production activities based on various factors. While supporting the scheduler, this role helps examine work orders or customer requests, expected delivery dates, plant personnel and equipment capabilities, and inventory availability.

Assistant Scheduler Responsibilties

  • Print and issue all MBRs and PWOs to the production floor.
  • Assist in schedule updates, reschedules, new items to be scheduled, and updates from production shifts.
  • Assist in updating Laboratory Department information on the schedule; as well as. Shipping Department information.
  • Update all changes as needed to issued documentation on the floor. (Ex. MBR’s and PWO’s)
  • Learn and assist with PWO revisions.
  • Assist in tracking material shortages on the schedule for visibility to another department.
  • Monitor jobs to ensure on-time completion and provide guidance for any adjustments needed.
  • Address issues when they arise, aiming for minimal disruption.
  • Follow up with all pertinent departments to ensure readiness prior to Validation and Commercial orders as well of Engineering batches (including componentry and documents)
  • Continuously evaluate requests for change, operational performance, and resource availability to ensure projections and prioritization are accurate and appropriate. Manage constraints, resolve conflicts, coordinate, and mitigate changes impacting the revenue and production plan.
  • Establish effective lines of communication with Customer and Product Management, Finance, Quality, Production, and other departments to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Provide recommendations and analysis to improve the planning and scheduling process continually.
  • Support Continuous improvement to the production schedule process.
  • Carry out any additional functions as deemed appropriate

Assistant Scheduler Education/ Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 yrs. experience in Scheduling
  • Proven work record to include the ability to perform all the following:
  • Manage multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Problem-solving in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Experience in MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
  • Knowledge of ERP systems or 3rd party planning software with schedule development
  • Understanding of demand and supply planning processes from order generation through fulfillment
