Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Retail Merchandiser to join our team. As a Retail Merchandiser, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing displays and ensuring that products are properly stocked and organized in retail stores. Your role will involve collaborating with store managers and sales teams to optimize product placement and drive sales.
Responsibilities:
- Create visually appealing displays to showcase products in retail stores
- Ensure that products are properly stocked and organized on shelves and displays
- Collaborate with store managers and sales teams to optimize product placement
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with suppliers to ensure timely restocking
- Conduct regular store visits to assess product availability, pricing, and display quality
- Implement promotional strategies and initiatives to increase sales
- Train store staff on visual merchandising techniques and product knowledge
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of display areas
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing returns/exchanges
Skills:
- Strong leadership skills to effectively collaborate with store managers and sales teams
- Knowledge of interior design principles to create visually appealing displays
- Ability to analyze market trends and consumer behavior to inform merchandising decisions
- Proficient in retail math calculations for pricing, discounts, and profit margins
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey merchandising strategies to store staff
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for inventory control and display maintenance
- Experience in retail sales is preferred
- Familiarity with training development is a plus
