General Description

We are currently seeking an Inspector with a certified welding certification (CWI) 1st shift Monday-Thursday at our Neillsville, WI facility. Monday-Thursday 6 am -4:30 pm. Flexible working hours.

Position Summary

Inspects materials and products for conformance to customer and/or company specifications. May use electronic devices, hard gauging, drawings, specifications and inspection equipment. All work to be done according to company and department safety polices and/or procedures. They will be responsible for determining reasons for defects. Candidate must possess strong communication skills both written and oral and must be able to work with suppliers and customers to resolve nonconforming material and print concerns and demonstrate a commitment to be a part of an effective team that focuses on supporting internal customers. All work to be completed in a timely manner.

Requirements

The following listed articles are required (or as deemed necessary by the hiring authority) for the initial acceptance of an Inspector. A High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Minimum of one (1) year related schooling or two (2) years inspection experience or any combination of schooling and/or experience that equals twelve (12) months or greater. CWI- Certified Welding Inspector Certification

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Organize product in assigned work area or other work areas using forklift, hoist, or manual lifting.

Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
Setup inspection with proper tools, equipment and standardized procedures.
Record and document inspection results as required by customer or company purchase order or specification.
Use time and material effectively to meet or exceed company requirements.
Advise supervisor of problem areas.
Perform an acceptable amount of work with few or no errors.
Alert supervisor when non-conformance is identified and/or performs as directed.

Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Area

Perform Assigned Duties and Responsibilities
Efficiently Problem Solving
Physical Demands

Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Use of Necessary Tools/Equipment: Inspection Equipment, Hoist, Forklift, etc.
Special Requirements

Willing to work overtime and weekends as requested by Supervisor.
Follows All Company and Department Safety Policies and/or Procedures.
