Incumbent provides high level expertise regarding Medrio’s system and application design.

Responsibilities:

• Develop proof of concepts (POCs) to demonstrate feasibility of new features and/or platform changes
• Provide guidance and technical leadership to scrum teams for implementation of POCs and features
• Provide guidance to Product to ensure accuracy of technical requirements needed for new features
• Produce timelines to deliver POC’s and achieve them or realign them with leadership help to ensure transparency
• R&D of new code libraries and cloud technologies (GCP and Azure)
• Analyze existing systems and data to drive engineering improvements 
• Observe problems areas within Medrio’s technology stack and provide recommendations for improvements
• Participate in and contribute to scrum activities/rituals
• Ensure solutions provided stay within the constraints of compliance guidelines
• Provide technical leadership to look for ways to modernize and transform our existing applications to more modern implementations

Education and Years of Experience:

• BS Degree and 10 years of application development experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Life Science experience helpful but not required
• Experience working in technology within the healthcare field

Skills/Areas of Experience:

• Experience in designing and developing high availability web applications
• Thorough understanding of distributed system architecture design and implementation
• Exceptional communication, organization and presentation skills
• Experience using T-SQL/SQL Server
• Expert in data modeling and database design
• Experience using an ORM tool such as NHibernate
• Strong knowledge of client side technologies including CSS, javascript, jquery and HTML
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design and concepts
• Experience with web application performance and scalability
• Experience designing public facing Restful APIs in a hosted / software as a service environment
• Experience working in an agile environment (for example SCRUM)

• Not required but helpful:
• Knowledge of web service identity management protocols and methods
• Knowledge of cloud technologies in Azure and GCP
• Knowledge of clinical research data standards such as CDISC ODM
• Experience building mobile applications or web services for mobile apps
• Experience in big data, data science, Python, AI libraries/platforms

Salary Range: $135,000 - $172,000
