TITLE:Program Lead

PROGRAM:Outpatient Mental Health

JOB SUMMARY: This position entails providing work direction, technical guidance, and ensuring quality control in OPMH department. This individual will also perform direct service to consumers on average 50% of the time. 

POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assume responsibility for direct service work with individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use disorders.
  • Assist the Program Director in the formulation, evaluation and installation of policies, procedures, and scheduling for the program.
  • Provide consultation to staff, other departments in the agency, and to community resources.
  • Attend and participate in scheduled community events, staff meetings, and staff committees as assigned; as well as workshops, conferences and in-service presentations, as directed by the Program Director.
  • Assume responsibility for meeting service level standards established by the Program Director.
  • Assure compliance with rules, regulations, licenses and/or certification standards for the program.
  • Complete all documentation as required by the agency. 
  • Take lead role in job orientation and training of new staff and interns, as needed and delegated by the Director or the Program Manager.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Program Director with interviewing and hiring additional staff and interns as needed.
  • Attend conferences, in-services, and trainings necessary to meet licensure and program requirements.
  • Assist the Program Director with creating and maintaining the clinical handbook, with the knowledge and ability to implement 245i and CCBHC statutes
  • Review and evaluate data to assist the Program Director with creating programming to meet the access demands and general needs of the community.
  • Assist the Program Director with developing, training, and maintaining clinical care pathway guidelines that allow for consistency and ensure evidence-based practices utilized by all providers in the department.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION: With or without reasonable accommodation, employees must be able to effectively: 

  • Communicate and exchange information both verbally and in written form.
  • Be able to maintain a sedentary position, either standing or sitting, for extended periods of time.
  • Capability of functioning in front of a computer for most of your day, including two-way interactive video. 

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Minimum graduate degree in mental health field of study. 
  • Experience: Preferred Minnesota Licensure as an LP, LICSW, LMFT or LPCC. 
  • Possess a high level of human relation skills and an aptitude for effective decision-making. 
  • Effective organization and time management capabilities.
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. 
  • Work well on a team and coordinate as necessary to support clients. 
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Possess a vehicle valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel as needed to client or organization locations throughout SE MN.

  • Paid Leave Time starts accruing at 5.08 hours per pay check (pro-rated for employees under Full-Time).
