At Near we’ve experienced a strong period of growth and are preparing for our next evolution, this time as a publicly traded company. To continue our positive trajectory, we’re searching for a highly qualified Chief of Staff to work closely with our CEO and Executive Team. The ideal candidate will have proven success in a business management role, with a special focus on executive-level advising and interdepartmental collaboration.

Objectives of this role

  • Oversee strategic business initiatives, from development through successful execution, under the guidance of senior leadership and department heads
  • Assist and communicate with executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation
  • Improve current processes and optimize organizational procedures for efficiency and productivity

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations in collaboration with senior managers and department leaders, and perform administrative tasks for the CEO such as managing calendars, generating correspondence, tracking and following up on commitments by other leaders, and planning and coordinating meetings
  • Develop and build on relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and responsiveness of existing operations, and help define new operational strategies by working with CEO and other executives on special projects
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert, handling inquiries, developing action plans, and assisting with preparation and dissemination of communications

Benefits to You

This role will add jet fuel to your development as an executive. You will be attached at the hip to the CEO and involved in all critical discussions with the executive leadership team. You will learn more in a year in this role than you would in ten years in a regular role.

  • Work life integration - this is an intense job with CEO hours and lifestyle, meaning 24x7 availability (within reason).
  • Optimistic and positive attitude, easy to work with

Required skills and qualifications

  • 4 years of professional experience with a foundation in investment banking, management consulting or venture capital experience preferred

  • Highly organized with strong attention to details
  • Shows versatility and adaptability to handle a highly-diverse workload and manages simultaneous activities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter and ability to manage multiple complex projects in parallel
  • Highly trustworthy; exercises discretion
