Generations at Applewood in Matteson, Illinois has an immediate opening for an Experienced Wound Care Nurse- Flexible hours/days. To create a full-time position, we have available shifts on the floor. Candidate must be a either a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or a Registered Nurse (RN). Wound Care Certificate, Training or Full Certification Needed.

Hourly Rates are:

LPN $33-37 depending on Benefits selected

RN $38-42 depending on Benefits selected

Plus you can pick up shifts working a cart. $2 per hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift.

Responsibilities of the Wound Care Nurse (RN):

• Skin evaluation for pressure sore prevention
• Medication application to existing wounds
• Educate patients to care for their own wounds
• Care for patient's surgical incisions, any pressure sores or any wounds caused from disease or injury

Requirements

Wound Care Nurse (RN):

• Current LPN or RN license from the State of Illinois
• Wound Care Certification (WCC) or Vohra Certificate or ability to complete certification preferred
• Extensive Wound Care experience
• Personable and professional with residents, families, and staff
• Maintain confidentiality of all residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA standards
• Must have compassion, understanding and tolerance for older adults
