Position Description
Work outdoors at Pelicans Ballpark. Greet and transport fans that request a wheelchair to and from their seats. Help enforce general policing of seating bowl/walking concourse for disruptive behavior. Exit greeting/exit sampling as requested.

Job Duties

Before Gates Open:

• Attend the Usher and Ticket Taker game day meeting to learn about specific events happening at the ballpark.
• Read the game day notes provided by the Front Office Staff.
• Report to your assignment immediately following the game day meeting.
• Inspect your area for standing water and notify the cleaning crew immediately if water needs to be removed.

After Gates Open:

• Acknowledge fans as they enter the gates/approach your area and greet them with a smile.
• Transport fans that have requested wheelchair assistance to their seats. Assist fans in finding their seating location.

During the Game:

• Remain on-call for any wheelchair needs throughout the game
• Report suspicious activity to a supervisor.
• Assist other departments as requested.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

This position requires employees to frequently use hands, talk, hear, walk, and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds and perform all duties in extreme hot or cold weather and other inclement conditions.
