The Expo Group is Hiring a Project Manager Near Irving, TX

The Expo Group is seeking a Project Manager who is experience in overseeing every aspect of the tradeshow, including planning, production and execution. They work in partnership with the client (show manager) to set expectations and develop the scope of work for the show. They then work through those requirements and process/communicate those needs to the rest of the team. They act as the primary liaison between the customer, the internal team, onsite operations, and the facility.
Our ideal candidate as a Bachelor and 5 years' experience of account/project management in the industry, and a CEM or CMP is preferred. You should demonstrate our core values of Integrity, Compassion, Excellence through stellar interpersonal and communication skills, responsiveness, and ability to prioritize. You should also be highly organized & detailed-oriented with a strong work ethic that is deadline driven. You should also be comfortable with travel 50% of the time and be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
We're looking for someone who will:
  • Communicate effectively with the client on their specific show needs, and then facilitate those needs to both internal departments and facilities
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations to execute a flawless experience including building a long-term relationship with the client and thinking strategically to present options to the client and develop customized solutions
  • Guide and advise client on structures and design and manage graphic and structural designs
  • Orchestrate all aspects of the show from beginning to end ensuring all details are communicated to the team
  • Ascertain sponsorship requirements and make recommendations for execution
  • Interface with vendors and labor unions while developing a labor strategy with the operations team.
  • Establish and create show schedule and production timelines and oversee travel arrangements for the team
  • Analyze rates, create pricing and provide data/details to create Exhibitor Services Manual
  • Schedule and conduct various meetings to develop a collaborative team and cultivate communication. They should promote teamwork and empower your team including collaborating with the exhibitor services team regarding exhibitor needs
  • Generate work orders and guide the client through the approval process for graphics
  • Monitor job costs and develop budgets, as well as prepare Invoices and ensure consistency with the proposal
