Full job description

We’re looking for an energetic, self-motivated professional to lead our admin team at our new dental office in Wahpeton, ND. Are you ambitious and passionate about dental administration? Are you a dental office administrator who values your work-life balance, and enjoys being on a small team that delivers exceptional patient care? With a 4-day work week (Mondays through Thursdays), this opportunity allows for three-day weekends to be enjoyed consistently. We are seeking an experienced Lead Front Office Administrator that will be responsible for collecting, posting and managing patient accounts in addition to front office administrative duties.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provide excellent customer service to all patients who contact the office with scheduling and/or billing questions and concerns.
  • Successfully review and edit invoices to ensure all information is accurate prior to submission for payment.
  • Check in/out patients
  • Engineer hygiene daily schedule to follow "blueprint" and to be certain Doctor exams are coordinated appropriately.
  • Insurance verification
  • Post payments and adjustments to accounts in a timely manner, and re-bill unapproved claim to ensure accuracy.
  • Be prepared and know how much to collect per patient. This includes but is not limited to patient portions if they have dental insurance and any pending balances.
  • Contact insurance companies and other providers/payers regarding account denials, pending claims and/or refunds, in a timely manner.
  • Consistently meet defined monthly production and collection goals.
  • Prepare and maintain reports and other documentation as required.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of collection activity for reporting purposes, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS : Two-year college degree preferred but not required. Minimum 5 years of experience in dental accounts receivable/collections preferred, including experience in data entry, dental claims processing, and front-end office administration. Proficient in EagleSoft and or cloud practice management software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 36 per week
