Responsibilities:
- Act as Scrum Master for multiple agile development teams, contributing to the successful implementation of assigned epics by ensuring that all the required elements are appropriately understood, documented, owned, and actioned by the team
- Manage timelines and communicates status
- Attend scrum of scrums, program iteration planning, and inspects and adapts
- Lead an agile team to facilitate sprint events (stand up, planning, demo, and retrospective
- Apply technical/business knowledge in determining end-to-end design requirements for large initiatives involving line of business and agile teams
- Work closely with developers and testers to ensure requirements and designs are translated accurately into working stories
- Coach the team in self-organization and cross-functionality
- Teach and lead the team to create high-value products
- Partner closely with Lean Agile Coaches, Agile teams at all levels and Senior Leadership to provide the highest quality coaching and education based on team needs
- Provide instruction and guidance on: Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile concepts and practices including value stream mapping, train increment planning and execution
- Facilitate Scrum routines (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives, etc.)
- Collaborate with Product owner and Dev team to prioritize and define stories using JIRA
- Coordinate work between onshore based in US and offshore teams
- Integrate with project, technology and business partners to manage the projects and be proactive in gathering status updates from partners, while minimizing impact
- ensure the team has a healthy Product and Sprint backlog - supports Product Owner
- Provide visibility into the Agile team's delivery plans and progress against plan to stakeholders
- Measure team delivery, maturity, and performance and reviews the metrics with the team to identify improvement opportunities
- Facilitate dependency and risk management for the Scrum teams and the ART
- Facilitate team and cross-team impediment removal for the team
- Promote/facilitate communication and collaboration within the Agile teams and across the ART to support value delivery and Sprint commitments
- Provide visibility into the Agile teams delivery plans and Release plans on the program level and to stakeholders
- Ensure the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog (in collaboration with the PO)
- Measure team delivery, maturity, and performance and reviews the metrics with the team to identify improvement opportunities
- Enables the team to become high performing through collaboration and a relentless focus on continuous improvement
- Collaborates across the ART to create program level transparency, visibility, and drive commitment
- Take on Senior Scrum Master Responsibilities to drive ART ceremonies, host PI Planning preparation and execution, supports the creation of a Program Backlog
- Assist with other responsibilities that help ensure success of the overall ART
- 5 years of experience
- SAFe Scrum Master Certification
- Experience working in a SAFe environment, including PI Planning events
- Ability to create JIRA queries and dashboards using JQL to assist and enable the team
- Ability to influence and negotiate both vertically and horizontally
