Murtis Taylor Human Services System is Hiring a Nursing Coordinator Near Cleveland, OH

The Nursing Coordinator is responsible for delivering, directing, planning, coordinating, and supervising nursing and nursing-related services. Reports to the Medical Director and the Vice President of Clinical Services.

· Mastery of basic Nursing skills and competencies

· Ability to fairly evaluate employee work and skill level

· Ability to manage multiple priorities

· Demonstrates leadership skills

· Ability to monitor employees and train effectively

· Ability to motivate others

· Ability to monitor and enforce agency policies

· Ability to utilize agency and community resources

· Ability to balance clinical, administrative and facility responsibilities

· Ability to represent the agency and facilitate a relationship with the community and other providers

· Respectful of client rights & confidentiality and values professional ethics

Essential Job Functions: Deliver nursing services directly to clients, including injections, blood work, urine screenings, and nurse coordination.

  • Coordinate client care assignments and staff schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels and skill mix.
  • Oversee daily operations of the nursing unit and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Assist nursing staff with complex client care needs, prioritization, and time management.
  • Facilitate communication between nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding client care.

· Monitor quality of care, patient satisfaction, and nursing metrics. Implement improvements as needed.

· Ensure compliance with nursing standards, protocols, and documentation requirements.

· Provides leadership to assure compliance with local, state and federal regulations, and nursing practice standards.

· Provide coaching, feedback, and training to nursing staff as needed.

· Oversee nursing responsibilities including staff training and development.

· Participate in the development of nursing policies, procedures, and programs.

· Reviews and approves service notes as required.

· Provides direct supervision of RNs, LPNs, Medical Assistants, and other professionals.

· Conducts an annual performance appraisal of all RNs, LPNs, Medical Assistants, and other professionals.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Comprehensive knowledge of community support services' principles, procedures, expectations, and goals, the Nursing Code of Ethics, rehabilitation, group process, and dynamics.

Must know and assure client confidentiality is consistent with client rights and all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The community support unit must ensure that all services it provides are culturally specific and relevant.

Must be committed to providing services that respond effectively to the values present in the client's culture.

QUALIFICATIONS:

An appropriate license is required: Registered Nurse RN with at least three years of direct experience after licensure and at least two years of additional related experience prior to licensure. Previous work experience with a severely mentally disturbed population is essential. Must have proven ability to work with mental health consumers and their families, therapists, psychiatrists, community support specialists, and a wide range of resource professionals. Strong written and oral communication skills are required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
