As a Hospice and Palliative Staff Nurse, you will provide direct patient care, education and support to patients and families in their home who are facing life-limiting illness. You will coordinate the care in collaboration with the Hospice and Palliative Care Interdisciplinary Group (IDG), utilizing resources to address the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients and families to improve quality of life and reduce suffering. Experience:
1. Two year(s) of recent med-surg experience in an acute or long term care setting, rehabilitation, home care, or hospice setting.2. Hospice Nurse experience preferred. Education:
1. Graduate of an approved school of nursing.2. RN Diploma, ASN required; BSN preferred. Licensures/Certifications:
1. Current license to practice nursing in Pennsylvania OR a multi-state license verified in one of the approved states through the Nursing Licensure Compact.2. Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.3. Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) preferred.4. Certification in Hospice and Palliative Nursing preferred.
Requirements:
This position requires you to wear a respirator as part of the job requirement.
