We are looking for a couple of Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our vibrant team at our Phoenix, AZ and Huntsville, AL office. Known as the "Rocket City" and a hub for defense and aerospace firms, Huntsville is renowned by US News as one of the premier places to live in the United States. Since the iconic Saturn V launch, this once agricultural community has experienced significant high-tech growth. Nestled amidst the stunning vistas of the Cumberland Plateau and Appalachian Range, Huntsville offers a unique blend of natural beauty and cutting-edge technological advancements.
Situated along the eastern banks of the Tennessee River, Huntsville boasts a thriving economy with over 40 Fortune 500 companies and a growing presence of global tech startups. The ideal candidate for this role would possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in HVAC design and hold a professional engineer license.
The position entails a thorough understanding of HVAC design processes, including planning tasks, overseeing heating/cooling load and ventilation calculations, equipment selection, coordinating the development of comprehensive sets of construction documents (including specifications), and providing standard construction administration services throughout the construction phase. Additionally, the role involves supervising building plumbing design efforts, although an in-depth understanding of plumbing design is not mandatory.
A mechanical engineer in this role will typically lead project teams comprising junior engineers and designers.
