Position: Patient Financial Services Supervisor

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Patient Financial Services Supervisor to oversee our patient financial services department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in healthcare billing and collections, along with strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team of financial services staff. The Patient Financial Services Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing, maximizing revenue collection, and providing excellent customer service to patients regarding financial matters.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead the patient financial services team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Oversee the billing and collection process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue collection and minimize accounts receivable delinquency.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to billing, collections, and patient financial services operations, and implement process improvements as needed.
• Serve as a point of contact for patient inquiries and concerns regarding billing and financial matters, providing timely and courteous assistance.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as patient access and revenue cycle management, to streamline processes and improve overall financial performance.
• Stay current on healthcare industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to patient financial services.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations on departmental performance and financial metrics for management review.

Qualifications:

• Prior healthcare experience is required.
• Prior leadership or supervisory skills are required.
• An associate degree or technical school training is required.
• Experience with Hospital billing regulations, third party billing regulations
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 coding Leadership
