Are you a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with the ability to support NetSPI?s global team with review and negotiation of commercial contracts? NetSPI is looking for an attorney to help its Vice President, Legal with all things contracts. This role will also include exposure to employment law, privacy law, export/sanctions laws and regulations, and much more. The Assistant Legal Counsel is crucial in driving a streamlined approach to completing various legal tasks through facilitating relationships with key members across NetSPI teams. Responsibilities:

  • Providing legal support to the sales team, including, drafting, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating customer and vendor agreements
  • Advising internal teams on areas of risk for contractual and other business arrangements, including recommendations for mitigating risks
  • Researching key legal and regulatory trends and understanding business impact
  • Performing contractual and administrative requirements that are complex and varied in nature, utilizing creativity, originality, and technical skill
  • Understanding the core products and services offered by NetSPI and explaining legal terms and conditions in a meaningful manner to internal teams and customers
  • Assisting with the creation of legal policies and other key initiatives as needed
  • Assisting with research of global laws and regulations, including laws affecting data privacy and information security standards and advising on business impact
  • Assisting with matters related to employment law as directed by the Vice President, Legal
  • Assisting with other legal tasks as directed by the Vice President, Legal

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and currently licensed to practice law, or graduating from law school in May or June 2024
  • High attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • 0-5 years of post-law school experience
  • Be a results-oriented self-starter and display sound and professional judgment
  • Have a high degree of discretion and judgment, with a focus on confidentiality and integrity
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and customers
  • Initiative to drive process improvement
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where change is constant
  • High level of curiosity and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and balance business considerations while maintaining strong relationships
  • Aptitude to think quickly to solve complex legal problems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of post-law school experience
  • Previous in-house or law firm experience preferred
