Under general supervision, assists mechanical engineers in the planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.Sets up and tests complete prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions. Devises, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies. Record test procedures and results using numerical and graphical data. Helps prepare proposals, cost estimates and work load. Assist in establishing completion dates.
Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 2 years related experience.
Preferred: Experience with basic PC navigating skills and MS Office a plus. Strong oral and written communications skills. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
