Job Description Job Description EHC is currently looking for a Systems Functional Analyst for a client in the south Houston area.Job Summary:Business ERP Systems Functional Analyst provides project coordination, functional expertise, and contributes to production support and analysis for mission-critical, enterprise-wide information systems, specifically for an Open Edge platform. Works with business managing enhancements, providing production support and work to implement process improvements in our growing manufacturing divisions. The Functional Analyst is responsible for approved project tracking and control for assigned modules or systems, serving as a liaison between functional and technical resources to manage the resolution of tickets, working closely with business on production issues, day-to-day problem analysis and issue tracking.Primary Duties & Areas of Responsibility:Guide the Jira and Asana discussions and maintain activity log to help development team maintain priorities set by BA team.Analyzing systems and business processes, recommending improvements that would increase efficiency and reduce costs for high volume Distribution/ Manufacturing operation. Provide world-class application baseload and non-baseload support for multiple company applications and locations.Appropriately communicate project status, escalate issues, and manage timelines and action items.Analyze customers' business requirements and tailor the use of the system to meet those objectives.Troubleshooting, requirements gathering, design, write and test applications; problem reporting; provides detailed specification and follows standard programming procedures.Identifying potential risks or issues with proposed solutions and providing recommendations for addressing them.Manage communications, scheduling, and logistics for business and ERP specific projects.Help guide technical team to deliver a flexible and scalable solution.Ensure instructional materials are accurate.Provide subject matter expertise and support for end user training delivery, projects scope and objectives, activities performed, and findings.Working with team leaders to determine how best to apply modern technologies to meet organizational goals and improve efficiency.Respond to and resolve system failures and performance issues.Actively drive issue resolution and closely monitor its progress.Develop, document, and maintain best practices, project standards, procedures, application, quality objectives and 'lessons learned', including metrics for assess.Plan and facilitate requirements sessions to identify and validate requirements with corporate IS team, IT, and business stakeholders.Assisting with the integration of newly acquired businesses.Required Skills & Experience:Bachelors degree in a computer science field. Plus 5 yrs. in or around Manufacturing process.Experience in manufacturing ERP implementations/Migrations.Working knowledge of start to finish process from order demand to invoicing.Self-starter with a sense of urgency, and ability to work independently and in a team setting.Software implementation, integration, update support as needed.Analyze and refine business, functional, and technical requirements.Excellent Communication skills.Some Travel required.Additional knowledge considered:Understanding of Progress 4GL libraries, Open Edge Studio, Progress AppServer, GUI tools for web services, MS SQL Server, Windows OS.Background in software development, tech support, or a technology integration role.Company Description EHC is a national staffing firm.
