Multipack South is Hiring a Jr. Controller Near Shreveport, LA

Multipack is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Controller to join our finance team. The Junior Controller will assist in overseeing financial operations, preparing financial statements, analyzing data, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer invoicing.
  • Prepare and review budget forecasts, variance analyses, and financial reports for management review.
  • Assist in coordinating with external auditors during annual audits and providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Participate in financial planning and analysis activities, including cost analysis, profitability analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Assist in developing and implementing internal controls to ensure financial accuracy, integrity, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and optimize financial performance.
  • Perform financial analysis and reporting as required by management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA certification or progress towards CPA is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial reporting tools is a plus.
