Summary:
This position is responsible for navigating internal and external data sources, providing and independently leading planning, research, financial modeling, and project management support to the Strategy Department, including conducting market research, preparing presentation materials, developing financial pro formas, working with planning and development teams strategic/planning projects, and preparing project work plans. This position is responsible for analyzing data and creating actionable insights, presentations, and visualizations as appropriate.
Position Reports To : VP of Strategy and Impact
Essential Functions:
- Conduct industry, market (including demographic, volume, market share), and programmatic research, competitor analyses and health care trend analyses and prepare presentation of findings for executive-level audiences.
- Support the development of business plans, including pro-forma development, market analyses, including demographic, volume, market share, geographic area, and use rate comparison data and prepare presentation of findings.
- Provide market data, research, and planning support for strategic and program planning.
- Participate as a key member and leader where appropriate, of project teams working on development of strategic plans, program plans, and implementation work plans.
- Create project work plans ensuring that tasks, timelines, and responsible parties are identified with attention to detail. Coordinate development of work plans with all relevant stakeholders.
- Effectively partners with Project Management Office and follows project management processes when functioning as project manager/operational owner.
- Monitor current and future market, health care, and legislative trends, and provide timely information and recommendations to the Strategy Department.
- Work with Finance and Strategy Teams in the development of assumptions for preparing pro formas for new programs and services.
- Assist with the business analysis of existing and planned programs, including demand analysis and sensitivity/contingency planning.
- Gather, synthesize, and format data for reports and presentations.
- Support in the preparation of internal and external communications regarding strategic planning, program planning, and key projects.
- Coordinate membership access and serves as liaison with external institutions such as The Advisory Board and others.
- Build effective working relationships throughout the organization with managers, staff, physicians, customers, and suppliers.
- Contributes to the development of new planning concepts, techniques, and standards.
- Other duties as assigned by the VP of Strategy and Impact.

Position Requirements:

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree OR 6 years of relevant experience, with a Bachelors degree obtained within 2 years of hire
- Minimum of five years of experience in operations, consulting, project management, research, visualization, data analysis/synthesis and development of business plans and/or executive-level reports and briefings required.
Desired:
- Masters' Degree
- Health care industry experience preferred.
- Project Management Certification (ie. CAPM, PMP, PgMP)

Working Conditions:
- Job requires both working closely with others and working alone. Normal office environment which consists of sitting at a desk for long periods of time. This environment also consists of working in close proximity to co-workers and occasional travel through the 4-county service area of Confluence Health.
