SAIC is seeking a passionate and skilled Software Development Team Lead to join our high-performing development team. This position is supporting the US Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFMS) program. (This position is 100% remote position and does not have an onsite requirement).

AFMS is the premier agency responsible for implementation, integration, and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and training and analysis standards that support the US Air Force (USAF), Department of Defense (DoD), and mission partners requiring these capabilities to support the Warfighter in full-spectrum operations.

Job Duties:

• Design, implement, and maintain Mid-large scale, complex applications in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Collaborate with product leaders, architects, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions aligning with client objectives and goals.
• Interface with the government customer with respect to project requirements, software design and development, test, and associated contract deliverable.
• Manage client expectations in daily interactions and sprint planning and review
• Plan and execute sprint planning and review session.
• Building and configuring application
• Communicating client specifications to project quality standards
• Assisting with application troubleshooting and debugging.
• Keeping projects on schedule to meet deadlines
• Educating junior developers on best practices
• Proven leadership experience, including managing and mentoring development teams
• Ability to design, deploy, and manage cloud-based applications and services
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and nine (9) years, Master's and seven (7) years experience; or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Must be US Citizen and currently possess a Secret Clearance
• Experience with web applications including front end development, consuming and developing REST APIs.
• Experience using frontend frameworks (Angular, Redux, JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
• Experience with server side technologies ( Node.js, PHP, Apache HTTP Server).
• Experience working Docker, and cloud environments.
• Experience with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB) Databases.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Learning Record Stores (LRS), including work with modern learning technology protocols (SCORM, xAPI, cmi5)
• Familiarity with all or some of the following tools: Moodle, Big Blue Button, Rustici, IntelliBoard.
• Experience leading and/or managing a team of software developers

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
