Sizzling Platter is a restaurant management group and we currently operate more than 700 restaurants across the United States and Mexico. We were founded in 1963 with just a small number of sit-down restaurants and over the last 50 years we have built a strong restaurant platform focused on adding and scaling leading brands in outstanding restaurant markets. Our Support Center is located Murray, Utah and we are looking for talented people to join our team in supporting the 11,000 team members who operate our restaurants. We are committed to growing our team through building new stores in our existing brands, acquiring additional stores, and adding even more brands. Our current restaurant brands include Little Caesars, Wingstop, Dunkin’, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Sizzler Steakhouse, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Jamba and Cinnabon.

JOB DETAILS

The Junior Corporate Accountant is primarily responsible for day-to-day activities related to property accounting that include but are not limited to:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assist in maintaining lease database.

· Process vendor bills related to property accounting.

· Prepare journal entries and accruals.

· Research and answer questions from landlords.

· Reconcile property accounts receivable.

· Reconcile balance sheet accounts.

· Store level P&L review and analysis.

· Create and maintain advanced spreadsheets.

· Provide assistance within the Support Center and with the Operations Teams.

· Communicate effectively and professionally.

· Back up other team members in their areas of responsibility.

· Complete other projects and special assignments as requested.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Required

Experience / Skills:

· 1-2 years accounting experience, preferably in a high transaction volume environment.

· Thorough knowledge of accounting, including the chart of accounts, debits and credits, preparing journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and account reconciliations.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Previous experience with general ledger systems, NetSuite a plus.

· Very organized with attention to detail.

· Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Pay: $50,019.15 - $60,238.12 per year
