PPA Tour is Hiring a Broadcast Associate Near Dallas, TX

Job Description:

We are looking to hire a talented and experienced Broadcast Associate to join our broadcast team. As a Broadcast Associate, you will be responsible for live streaming pickleball matches, assembling recorded film and video footage, applying artistic editing techniques and creating finished, broadcast-worthy projects that accurately reflect the vision of the Creative Director and Broadcast Director.

To ensure success as a broadcast associate/video editor, you should have expert knowledge of modern video editing techniques, be able to visualize directorial concepts and work according to a strict time schedule. Ultimately, a top-notch video editor can perfectly translate a director's idea into a beautifully crafted film or video piece, worthy of broadcasting.

Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with the director to determine production vision.
  • Direct or produce segments/video ideas
  • Direct and produce a livestream of pickleball matches from tournaments.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain the electronic equipment used to acquire, edit, and transmit audio and video for television programs.
  • Run video, audio, and livestream equipment.
  • Reviewing raw material to determine the shot list.
  • Manipulating film and video footage using modern editing techniques.
  • Trimming footage and putting together the rough cuts.
  • Produce or direct stage, television, video, or film productions for entertainment, information, or instruction.
  • Inserting dialog, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects.
  • Ensuring the project follows a logical sequence.
  • Consulting with the director and production team throughout the project.
  • Creating the final cut for broadcasting, youtube, social media, etc.
  • Overseeing set up/ takedown of equipment before and after a tournament.

Qualifications:

  • Must be available to work as needed; including days, evenings, holidays and weekends. Some events may be multiple days and events may last over 8 hours per day.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of broadcasting/audio equipment and production experience preferred.
  • Experience working with podcast and remote broadcast preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with editing software: Adobe Suite including: After Effects and Premiere Pro.
  • Strong computer skills with ability to use basic MSOffice applications as well as MAC.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job including lifting, bending, sitting, standing and kneeling
  • Experience in video/broadcasting productions
  • Creative and artistic skills.
  • Ability to work on a tight schedule.
  • Ability to translate ideas into complete projects.
