Astera Health is Hiring a Financial Clearance Supervisor Near Wadena, MN

Astera Health has a full-time Financial Clearance Supervisor opening! The main function of this role is to provide day to day operational support to the front end Financial Clearance Unit. This will include direct staff-level oversight for Insurance Verification, Authorization/Referral Management, Pre-Registration/Pre-Service Collections, and the Patient Advocacy Team.

This position is full-time, 40 hours per week: Monday - Friday. Astera Health offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life and retirement. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Monitors EPIC WQ activity and productivity
Identifies issues and takes a lead role in problem solving and working with team members to resolve system issues. Promotes process improvement.
Demonstrates effective collection techniques, as verified by reduced accounts receivable and a reduction in the collection agency percentage.

Competencies required include:

Demonstrates great listening skills and tact to effectively deal with conflict or negative adversarial interactions that may evolve from patient financial information.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Demonstrates a high degree of commitment to customer service excellence
Maintains confidentiality of information and privacy compliance.

Education and experience required:

Associates degree in Business Management or related field
3-5 years experience in healthcare billing and coding experience
Or combined years of relevant education and experience to perform the essential duties of this position.

Immunization requirements include: MMR, Hepatitis B (based on the position), Tdap, Varicella, Influenza, COVID-19
