Responsibilities Exhibits expert communication skills, telephone etiquette and customer service always Pre-registers patients. Demonstrates ability to have meaningful discussion of benefits with patient when pre-registering, and when present in the department Demonstrates clinical knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology and medical terminology to determine the appropriate test to be scheduled Schedules patients in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner. Gathers accurate and complete information of tests and diagnosis to enhance the revenue cycle Rescheduling/cancelling appointments Verification of insurance eligibility and benefit information Medicare Compliance Prepares Patient Estimates (Patient Portion Due) Obtains insurance precertification/authorization/referral information and understands requirements Obtains insurance precertification directly from the payor where applicable Maintain scheduling system changes and updates Order Management Education, Training, and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent Strong computer skills Strong research and problem-solving abilities Prior experience in customer service fields, call centers or healthcare preferred but not required Excellent attendance, punctuality, and ability to meet and maintain established metrics are crucial to being successful in this role Patient Registration, Patient Registration Clerk, Registration Clerk, Patient Access Clerk, If you would like to be part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork and innovation, we urge you to apply now!
